Sample agreement

The agreement, before you agree to anything.

1. Who this is between

ITpublisher (Elizbeta Dimoska), called "we" below, and client name and business, called "you".

2. What we build

The Starter / Standard / Pro website: up to 1 / 5 / 10 pages, with 1 / 2 / 3 rounds of changes before launch, and the features listed for that package on our pricing page on the day you sign. Anything beyond that is quoted separately before we do it.

3. What it costs

Prices are in Canadian dollars. You can pay by Interac e-Transfer or through PayPal.

4. After launch: you choose one

Option A, we host it. You pay $49 / $79 / $129 a month, starting on launch day. That covers hosting, your domain name renewal, the security certificate, backups, monitoring and 15 / 30 / 60 minutes of updates each month. Unused minutes do not carry over. This option runs for at least 12 months. After that it continues month to month and either of us can end it with 30 days' written notice.

Option B, you host it. At launch we send you all of your website files and give you one free lesson, in person or by video call, on setting up hosting and putting the site live. You pay your own hosting and domain companies directly. You owe us nothing further unless you ask for more work.

You can move from B to A at any time. You can move from A to B once the 12 months are up.

5. Updates

Changes after launch cost $40 an hour, billed in 30-minute blocks. If we host your site, your included minutes are used first. We tell you the price before starting and only go ahead when you say yes.

6. Who owns what

7. What we need from you

8. Late payments

If a monthly payment is missed, we will let you know. If it has not been paid within 15 days, we may take the site offline until it is. Nothing is deleted, and the site goes back up as soon as the payment is made.

9. Showing our work

We may show your website as an example of our work and put a small "Website by ITpublisher" link at the bottom of it. Tell us if you would rather we did not.

10. What we cannot promise

We build your site so that Google can find and understand it, but nobody can guarantee a search ranking, a number of enquiries or a level of sales, and we do not.

11. If either of us wants out before launch

You can cancel before launch. We keep the deposit for the work already done and you owe nothing more. If we cannot finish the site, we refund the deposit.

12. The law that applies

This agreement is governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.
